Jessica Jean Heinonen, 27, of Thornton, Colorado found her peace on 24 June 2022.
She was born as Miranda Marie Hale on 31 July 1994, in Jacksonville, Florida to Mavis
Alene (Churchill) Hale and Randy Pitts (deceased).
Jessica was adopted on 20 December 2004, by Tonia R. (Bertapelle) and Earl L.
Heinonen Jr. She has lived in Mayport, FL, Seal Beach, CA, Snohomish, WA, Arvada,
Edgewater, Lakewood, and Thornton, CO. Jessica loved to play basketball when
younger. She attended Pomona High School. She was free spirited, caring and a loving
mother to her children. Jessica and her children loved to dance and take selfies. Puzzles
were another one of her passions. And we cannot forget her love of Grandma
Bertapelle’s sloppy joes.
Jessica is survived by her three children, Annabelle Marie Martindale, Nicholas Ryan
Heinonen and Athena Rose Endres. She is also survived by her parents, Tonia R.
Bertapelle of Lakewood, CO, and Earl L. Heinonen Jr. (Crystal) of Henderson, CO, her
sisters, LenaKay Heinonen of Parker, CO, Tessora DeLeon (David) of Lakewood, CO,
Kristen Heinonen (Deyanira) of Denver, CO, brother Anthony Heinonen of Lakewood,
CO, half-sister, Geneva Heinonen of Henderson, CO, special Aunt (sister) Kristina
Bertapelle of Edgewater, CO, brother Roger Murphy of Jacksonville, FL and sister Daisy
Hale of Jacksonville, FL. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive her.
A viewing to celebrate Jessica’s life will be held at Stork-Bullock Family Mortuary, 1895
Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood, CO 80214 between 9:30 and 11:00 AM on 5 July
2022.
