Martin Brotzman Obituary

Martin Eugene Brotzman

On Tuesday, November 15, 2022 Martin Eugene Brotzman
returned home to his loving Savior. Marty’s passing was due to an
unexpected heart attack.
Marty was born on July 17, 1955 in Denver, Co to George and
Irene Brotzman. Marty was a Denver “city boy” through and through,
growing up and living his life in the city he loved. He worked for his
father at American Engraving Company from a young age.
After graduating from George Washington High School Marty
attended University of Denver College of Business where he was a
member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity. He graduated with his
Bachelor of Science Degree.
Marty continued working with his father until his retirement when
Marty took over the company that he loved. American Engraving
Company was Marty’s pride and joy. He was alway excited to show
his friends and family how his presses worked and what amazing
things he had made with them.
Marty’s laid back, fun loving personality made him easy to
connect with. He made friends everywhere he went, even if it was
supposed to be a quick trip to the hardware store.
Marty loved playing cards with family and friends. “Marty, Marty,
Marty” was commonly heard as he would be too busy laughing and
taking to pay attention to the game. The seat after him was a hot
commodity in any game as he was sure to slip up a time or two.
Golf was one of Marty’s true loves in life. He could often be
found playing or watching golf. It was not uncommon for him to go out
to hit a few balls only to meet with some new friends and be out for far
longer than he had planned on.
Marty was a wonderful Grandpa to his many grandchildren,
accepting any kid who came into his life as his own. He always had
time, patience, and love to give. He could be heard bragging on his
grandkids to anyone who would listen.
Marty was one of this lives true treasures and will be missed by
all who knew and loved him.
Marty is survived by his loving wife Linda
