Mutsuko Munakata passed away on February 5, 2024, after a full life of 82 years. Mutusko attended Ochanomizu University in Tokyo, where she earned an undergraduate degree in mathematics, and she worked as a systems analyst for the Federal Reserve Bank in Cleveland for over 20 years, developing software for the Federal Reserve Automatic Clearing House System and administering databases and the internal mail system. She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids, outdoor activities (hiking, skiing, birdwatching), creative arts (watercolor painting, writing poetry, quilting), and traveling. She is survived by her three daughters and extended family.
