Sharon Ann Sekerak

August 6, 1944 to April 10, 2022

Sharon Ann Sekerak was born in Denver, August 6, 1944 to Michael and Lorraine Sekerak.  She was their first born, her brother, Steven was born two years later.  Sharon was preceded in death by Steven in 1987, her dear mother in 1991, and her beloved father in 2017.

Sharon worked for the City and County of Denver for fifty years, the majority at the Denver Police Department.  She was very well known throughout the police department and the city offices.  A constant refrain was “Everybody knows Sharon.”

Sharon was fiercely dedicated to two organizations associated with the Denver Police Department: the Denver Police Orphans’ Fund and the Denver Police Officers’ Foundation.   Sharon never married and had no children, but in her heart, every member of the police department and their families were her family.

Sharon’s legacy is her love, generosity and devotion in that unselfish, endless caring for her immediate family and for the entire DPD family.
